“At CES, IDEX has also been keen to highlight its off-chip sensor solution, which has already been embraced by Wide Touch Technology Holding Ltd. via an order placed last September.”
IDEX ASA has been busy at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show. The company is demonstrating its full range of fingerprint sensor technology at the event, and over the last two days has hosted meetings with partners, customers, and investors.
In its 2015 mid-year update, the company asserted that it was poised to take a major share of the fingerprint sensor market; now it’s busy working to realize that ambition, asserting in a statement that “several leading OEMs” are currently trialling its products, which are ready for mass production. Indeed, as early as last October the company was integrating its in-glass sensor solution into that product’s first device, so it seems likely that some of these products will soon hit the market.
At CES, IDEX has also been keen to highlight its off-chip sensor solution, which has already been embraced by Wide Touch Technology Holding Ltd. via an order placed last September. With this solution showcased alongside IDEX’s more traditional sensor products, the company’s booth will likely have seen considerable interest from OEMs in the mobile market and beyond at the end of this year’s CES.
