Fingerprint Cards (FPC) will announce its Q1 results on Thursday, April 28th, the company says. The interim report’s dissemination will be followed by a conference call hosted by CEO Jörgen Lantto and CFO Johan Wilsby.
It should be an interesting update. FPC saw great success last year with its mobile fingerprint sensor integrations, and has seen many more such integrations over the last few months. The company also indicated that it would be exploring potential applications of its technology in the automotive sector and has also begun to move more aggressively into smart cards. Moreover, the company recently announced an improved biometric algorithm that could in some way help to shape its outlook for the year to come.
Meanwhile, Henrik Sundell, who joined FPC as its General Counsel early last year, is now leaving the company. In a statement announcing his departure, FPC offered no specific reason for his decision; but Lantto called him “a very competent and capable General Counsel who has brought substantial value” to the company, and wished him luck in his future endeavors.
