Precise Biometrics‘ algorithm software has found its way into another new smartphone via Synaptics sensor technology.
Announcing the integration in a statement, Precise Biometrics declined to name the smartphone OEM that is ultimately implementing the technology, but did indicate that it is based in China. The company also noted that it expects the integration to begin producing royalty revenues this quarter, with such revenues based on sales, which cannot be forecast.
The new integration follows soon after another with Synaptics announced last month, regarding a Taiwan-based client — most likely ASUS, given a sensor integration announced by Synaptics around that same time.
Together, the integrations illustrate a propitious start to the companies’ partnership, which is itself part of Precise Biometrics’ broader strategy to extend its roster of hardware partners as it seeks to get its technology into more and more devices.
