Online accounting software provider Xero has enabled Apple Pay for its customers, allowing them to pay invoices via fingerprint scan.
With the integration, Apple Pay will now automatically appear as a payment option on invoices from Xero customers using Stripe as their payment service. That means customers who opt to use the mPayment platform won’t even have to enter payment card details when paying their invoices, since their data will already be loaded onto Apple Pay; all they have to do is perform biometric authentication via Touch ID. That’s as simple as a touch of the finger, which means it will be even easier for customers to pay their bills.
In a blog post announcing the Apple Pay integration, Xero framed it as part of a larger trend, asserting, “Mobile payments are the way of the future.” The company also emphasized Apple Pay’s security, assuring clients that with an Apple Pay transaction, “you can rest easy knowing that Apple has verified that payment using Touch ID.”
Apple Pay via Stripe is now available to Xero customers in Canada, the US, the UK, Australia, Singapore, and Ireland, and will arrive to New Zealand next month.
