OPPO F1s Uses FPC, Precise Biometrics Tech

August 3, 2016

Fingerprint Cards and Precise Biometrics technologies are enabling the biometric capabilities of another new OPPO smartphone. The new OPPO F1s features an FPC1245 sensor running Precise BioMatch Mobile algorithm software.

The device is a sequel of sorts to the F1 Plus announced this past spring, and uses the same sensor model and algorithm software. That’s also true of OPPO’s R9 and R9+ devices before that.

The string of integrations points to another happy customer of FPC and Precise Biometrics, with the companies enjoying multiple repeat customers among big-name smartphone OEMs. It also illustrates the continuing biometrics boom in the mobile sector, with one market research firm recently predicting that by 2018 all smartphones shipped will feature biometric technology. FPC and Precise Biometrics have rode that wave to leading positions in their respective fields, and as more customers like OPPO use their technologies, they should be able to keep that momentum going.
