Safran Identity & Security has received certification from the GSMA Security Accreditation Scheme for eSIM Subscription Management (SAS-SM) for its MorphoFlex solution.
The accreditation follows the GSMA Security Accreditation Scheme for UICC Production (SAS-UP) certification the company previously received for its German manufacturing plant, and helps to pave the way for the broad use of Safran’s eSIM provisioning solution. MorphoFlex is meant to enable administrators to manage the ID credentials of connected devices throughout their lifecycles, from registration to deletion – a key concern for wireless operators anticipating the expansion of the Internet of Things.
In a statement announcing the SAS-SM certification, Safran Identity & Security VP Yves Portalier asserted that it “demonstrates our clear commitment to security and interoperability.”
The accreditation comes as no surprise given that Safran Identity & Security has helped to establish the industry standards for secure connections via the GSMA’s Remote SIM Provisioning Technical Group; and given that MorphoFlex is also designed for compatibility with the GSMA’s Mobile Connect SSO platform.
