Synaptics Plans Strong Showing at CES 2016

December 21, 2015

Synaptics is going to show off a number of its innovations at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show, the company has announced.

For one thing, the user interface developer will show off its ClearForce technology, which can detect the pressure with which users’ press on a touchscreen, similar to Apple’s 3D Touch system. And it’s going to demonstrate that technology’s automotive applications as well, showing how it can be integrated on the steering wheel as other touchscreen elements enhance the central console of a car.

Synaptics is also going to demonstrate its “hover-enabled touch interaction” on a LEIA 3D hologram system, and will show off its Natural ID fingerprint authentication system, which allows fingerprint scanning through a layer of glass. Meanwhile, its integration into Guardian Reveal should impress CES attendees with its capability to allow a surface to transition from opaque to transparent by the user’s touch.

These are impressive offerings, and should help to build the company’s brand among consumers as it continues to establish itself among other industry players via efforts like its recently announced FIDO certification service, a collaboration with Nok Nok Labs.

CES 2016 will take place in Las Vegas from January 6th to January 9th.
