B2B Payment Solutions Provider Nudging Clients Towards Digital Future

Authentication in the CloudCalifornia-based payments solutions provider AP Technology has announced a new platform called APeChecks. It’s a cloud-based B2B payment service that combines both traditional cheque-based payment options and digital payment options.

It seems to be the company’s way of gently nudging clients towards the future. In a press release, AP Technology CEO Richard Love noted his company understands that many of its clients prefer traditional cheques “even though the are an expensive payment method,” and that the new system will accommodate their concerns while offering “the best of both worlds” by “enabling the selection of ACH or electronic payments with the click of a mouse.”

The company says its new system “requires no integration to implement, so barriers for adoption are completely removed,” and features biometric authentication measures. Its emphasis on ease of use and security echoes the language that other financial institutions have used when implementing biometric security in their online platforms, and appears to be a prudent means of easing clients into the digital age of commerce. With a consumer-to-business platform extension planned for early 2015, the company is wise to start that process now, as consumers in the mass market will appreciate – and perhaps even expect – the convenience of digital transactions and the security offered by biometric technologies.
