With another big HIMSS having wrapped earlier this month, Calgary Scientific is highlighting what it sees as the key trends in this year’s healthcare IT conference.
One is the continuing rise of digital content and of platforms to comprehensively manage it, with hospitals and other healthcare facilities seeking to share images across a number of devices and systems. The other related trend is the increasing use of cloud-hosted data, which Calgary Scientific says is proving particularly useful with respect to enterprise imaging platforms and other data systems related to electronic health records.
These, of course, would be the trends to which Calgary Scientific is most attuned. The company’s offerings, such as its ResolutionMD imaging platform, are aimed at helping healthcare providers to improve administrative efficiency by leveraging digital technologies related to EHR management. In an era of intensifying fiscal pressures on healthcare providers, such solutions could indeed be proving popular, and in any case are helping Calgary Scientific to drum up support from investors and industry analysts.
