EyeLock To Showcase Iris Recognition Technology at ASIS 2016

August 19, 2016

EyeLock will showcase its iris recognition technology at ASIS 2016 next month, the company has announced.

EyeLock to Show Off Iris Scanning Tech at ASIS 2016The company will show off its EyeLock Identity Suite (EIS) and its integrations into access control systems such as Lenel OnGuard, Software House C-Cure 9000, and more. EyeLock will also showcase nano NXT, its portable iris template solution, which it showed off at last year’s ASIS as well.

In a statement announcing its ASIS 2016 presence, EyeLock Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer Anthony Antolino explained, “We have expanded our presence at ASIS this year to showcase our enhanced technical capabilities and new product offerings,” adding later that his team is “very excited to see the growing interest and increased adoption of our technology.”

Much of that growing interest could have to do with the financial services and mobile applications of its technology. With Samsung dramatically raising the profile of iris biometrics with its new Galaxy Note7 smartphone, EyeLock’s technology, which can now scan through glasses and at a distance of up to 60cm, could prove highly appealing to mobile OEMs. Meanwhile, as biometric ATMs start to emerge around the world, the integration of its technology into a biometric ATM concept from Diebold could also be stoking interest. It’s certainly an exciting time for players in the iris biometrics market.
