FPC Announces New Integrations with Moto, Unnamed Japanese OEM

September 1, 2017

Fingerprint Cards is celebrating a few new fingerprint sensor integrations this week.

FPC Announces New Integrations with Moto, Unnamed Japanese OEMThe company has announced that its FPC1145 fingerprint sensor is being used in three new smartphone models from a “major Japanese OEM”, which the company has declined to name. FPC had also announced a smartphone integration with an unnamed Japanese OEM at the start of June, also of an FPC1145, so it’s possible this OEM is now a repeat customer of the company.

Another newly announced integration is with a device from the Lenovo-owned Moto brand – the Moto X4, announced at this week’s IFA 2017 trade show in Berlin. That device is using an FPC1035 sensor for fingerprint-based user authentication, just like the recently announced Moto G5S and G5S Plus smartphones.

Also announced at IFA 2017 Berlin is LG’s new V30 smartphone, in which FPC’s fingerprint sensor technology is complemented by facial and voice recognition authentication capabilities.
