FPC Sets Date For Q2 Report, Teleconference

July 8, 2016

Fingerprint Cards has set a date for the publication of its second quarter results for 2016. The report will be issued on July 22nd, with a teleconference following that afternoon, at 15:00 CET.

FPC Sets Date For Q2 Report, Teleconference Reflecting the company’s status as an international player in the biometric sensor market, the teleconference will be held in English. It will be hosted by CFO Johan Wilsby and CEO Jörgen Lantto, who will step down from his post next month, to be replaced by new CEO Christian Fredrikson.

In announcing the date for its Q2 update, the company did not offer any details on what the report would cover, but it seems fair to speculate that there might be some discussion, in the report or the conference call, of Lantto’s pending replacement. The company is also likely to touch on its smart card activities; having turned its attention to that market over the last several months, the company has already seen a couple of high-profile smart card integrations. It may also have some news to disclose regarding its FPC-BM sensor module, though that particular product was only announced in May, and as such may not factor heavily into FPC’s Q2 report.

Of course, the report is also likely to discuss the numerous recent mobile integrations of its biometric sensors. That has long been the bedrock of the company’s business success, and continues to offer an important revenue stream.
