Gemalto Conference to Focus on Monetizing IoT

Gemalto Conference to Focus on Monetizing IoTDigital security company Gemalto has announced the agenda for next week’s LicensingLive! 2015 conference in Cupertino, California. This year’s event revolves around the theme, Transforming Your Business: Monetization Strategies for Software and the IoT.

It’s a rich vein to tap into, with massive growth expected for the IoT market, as well as a range of new security concerns that will demand advanced solutions. Key speakers at this year LicensingLive! will include Amy Konary, the Research Vice President in IDC’s Software Licensing and Mobile Enterprise Applications division; Ray Wang, the founder and lead analyst of Constellation Research; and Gartner Research Director Laurie Wurster. Major topics, meanwhile, will range from the transformative power of the IoT (“The Third Industrial Revolution – IoT”) to the changing nature of digital business (“Disrupting Digital Business: The Post Sales, On Demand, Attention Economy Is Here!”).

Gemalto was named the top brand in the banking card tech market in an ABI Research report issued this summer, and its ability to attract high-profile speakers for this year’s LicensingLive! further suggests its continued clout.

Next week’s event will also feature former MLB first baseman Steve Garvey, who will discuss “what baseball and the IoT have in common,” according to a press release.
