Finland-based MePIN/Meontrust Inc. has found a new client in its own domestic market: Visma Solutions, a provider of cloud-based enterprise software, has elected to use the MePIN platform for its Netvisor accounting software.
To that end, MePIN developed a mobile app called Netvisor ID, which lets end users log in using a PIN or fingerprint, and provides digital signatures for transactions. MePIN says its solution also supports payment authorization that is compliant with the European Union’s new PSD2 regulations.
In a statement announcing the project, Visma Solutions Product Director Janne Lyytikäinen framed it as a means of improving the customer experience. “With the Netvisor ID app provided by MePIN we can turn one touch point of the login process into our competitive advantage,” he said.
MePIN’s new client on its home turf may reflect the company’s rising profile internationally, with the company having adapted its biometric authentication technology to work with the GSMA’s Mobile Connect platform, and showcased upgrades to this system at this year’s Mobile World Congress.
