The Nebraska DMV plans to implement MorphoTrust RoadTest solution in all of its 96 testing facilities.
MorphoTrust USA (Safran) is going to provide the Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles with a tablet-based examination system for driver license testing.
Called MorphoTrust RoadTest, the system is AAMVA- and FMCSA-compliant, and is designed to replace all paper-based driver license testing. MorphoTrust says the tablet itself is rugged yet lightweight, and it features handwriting recognition software enabling it to capture data through a stylus and convert it into text. Moreover, the tablet’s usability actually extends to the road, as it features GPS tracking that can provide information on exactly which routes drivers use, and the speeds at which they travel.
Commenting on the partnership in a statement, MorphoTrust CEO Bob Eckel said his company “is honored to continue to grow our longstanding partnership with the State of Nebraska by adding RoadTest to the list of solutions and products we already manage for the State today,” adding that more than 20 other US states have opted for the company’s RoadTest and AutoTest solutions.
