“…the nominees for the AMO Awards will be judged by a panel of industry experts looking for innovation and notable achievement in the mobile industry.”
The 2018 Asia Mobile Awards are now open for nominations, the GSMA has announced.
The AMO Awards are the signature awards of Mobile World Congress Shanghai – the equivalent to the Mobile World Congress’s GLOMO Awards, for which the nominations have just been announced. As with those awards, the nominees for the AMO Awards will be judged by a panel of industry experts looking for innovation and notable achievement in the mobile industry. Thirteen awards will be bestowed across seven categories, including “Mobile Tech”, “Fourth Industrial Revolution”, “Outstanding Achievement”, and more.
In a statement announcing the opening of nominations, GSM Chief Marketing Officer Michael O’Hara highlighted the strong potential of the region, asserting that “Asia is renowned for delivering leading-edge innovation across many facets of the mobile industry, from networks to devices to apps and beyond.”
Nominations for the AMO Awards will be open until April 11th, with the GSMA scheduled to announce a shortlist by early June. As for the main event, MWC Shanghai 2018 will take place at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre from June 27th to 29th.
