SecureKey Launches Program To Facilitate Faster Deployment of Multifactor Authentication

Securekey_logoMultifactor authentication is just better than the standard password protection that the online identity industries are quickly burying, yet it has not achieved the ubiquity everyone would like, if not for the sake of their critical information then at least for the resulting piece of mind. there are two obstacles that generally stand in the way of large deployments of multifactor security solutions: the friction that can potentially be added between user and authenticator, and the time and resources implementing a system can be daunting.

The first of those obstacles is becoming increasingly less of a concern as passive and invisible authentication factors become more common. The second is being directly addressed by SecureKey, a provider of trusted identity networks, through its recently released SecureKey Engage Partner Program.

The focus of the new initiative is to provide system integrators, software solutions providers, consultants and resellers with the support required to efficiently develop strong authentication solutions that are based on the company’s briidge.net offering.

briidge.net itself is a cloud-based mutli-factor security platform through which SecureKey offers a number of authentication services. Allowing for more secure BYOD policies and standardized strong authentication across all connected devices, the briidge.net offerings on their own solve the need for multifactor security. With the Engage Partner Program, the platform becomes of versatile in its ability to serve the user’s needs, allowing companies to develop and market solutions.

Andre Boysen, executive vice president of marketing at SecureKey explains the growing demand: “Consumers struggle with dozens or even hundreds of increasingly complex sign-in IDs, and often use them interchangeably among many online services, which increases their risk and exposure to damaging online attacks. By supporting our channel partners in building upon SecureKey’s identity and authentication services, we hope to speed the proliferation of solutions that will better protect people’s online IDs, and make it easier to access to high-value web services.”
