Boasting support for languages used in 41 countries across the globe, Sensory’s technology functions in English, Mandarin, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, Russian, Arabic, Turkish, Swedish and Portuguese.

That above list includes the world’s three most highly spoken languages, Mandarin, English and Spanish – making the hands-free solutions from Sensory applicable to billions of speakers. Support for Polish, Cantonese, Greek and Indian English is currently in development.

Sensory’s TrulyHandsfree Voice Control technology is among the products that benefit from this language catalog. As the world goes increasingly mobile with the proliferation of consumer electronics like the smartphone and tablet, new methods of interfacing are staring the spotlight with the touchscreen and virtual keyboard.

Sensory’s news the second announcement of Mandarin Chinese language support for a voice recognition software in as many weeks. Previously, Mobile ID World reported that VoiceVault, a voice biometrics company with a strong focus on the developer market,  has announced that its phrase-based voice authentication is now available in the pervasive language.
