Yubico Highlights Multi-Factor Authentication at Cloud Identity Summit

June 6, 2016

The Cloud Identity Summit is taking place this week in New Orleans, and Yubico is on hand to promote its multi-factor authentication solutions.

Yubico Highlights Multi-Factor Authentication at Cloud Identity Summit

The company is showing off its YubiKey products, which enable two- and multi-factor authentication by adding a physical key to user devices. Yubico is highlighting YubiKey’s integration into the cloud-based PingOne identity management platform, as well as its use with Github, Dropbox, Dashlane, and Google, which embraced this kind of authentication approach in a big way when it enabled FIDO U2F security for its Google accounts back in 2014.

Not coincidentally, FIDO standards will be a running theme as Yubico representatives discuss their company’s solutions during this week’s event. The company participated in this morning’s FIDO Alliance summit, and its Solutions Engineering VP Jerrod Chong spoke on the “FIDO Recipe for Strong Authentication” in a talk this afternoon. Looking ahead, Yubico CEO Stina Ehrensvard will discuss the evolution beyond the password on mobile in a talk on Thursday morning, highlighting the emergence of sophisticated security technologies such as biometrics.

As the Cloud Identity Summit proceeds, Yubico’s discussion points should help to further raise the profile of not only Yubico, but FIDO and multi-factor authentication more generally.
