“It’s fair for Yubico to expect a warm reception at both events. Its YubiKey devices help companies to adhere to the FIDO Alliance’s Universal Second Factor (U2F) standard, which is quickly catching on even among non-members of the strong online authentication consortium.”
Yubico is making the IT security rounds this week in promotion of its YubiKey USB dongles.
The company is attending the O’Reilly Security Conference today and tomorrow. This afternoon, CEO and founder Stina Ehrensvard will deliver a talk entitled “The Future of Strong Online Identities – Simple, Open, and Mobile”; and tomorrow morning company representatives will host a webinar on YubiKey devices’ applications as smart cards for PC logins, demonstrating how that can work on Linux, Mac, and Windows.
On Thursday, the company will move on to London, where it will demonstrate its YubiKey solutions at the Black Hat Europe 2016 conference.
It’s fair for Yubico to expect a warm reception at both events. Its YubiKey devices help companies to adhere to the FIDO Alliance’s Universal Second Factor (U2F) standard, which is quickly catching on even among non-members of the strong online authentication consortium. And with the rise of mobile and digital payments – and FIDO’s new efforts to establish relevant standards – Yubico’s devices could become even more important going forward, to organizations and consumers alike.
