“Xiaomi is one of the smartphone OEMs singled out in FPC’s latest corporate update as a key client for the company…”
China-based smartphone OEM Xiaomi keeps cranking out new Redmi mobile devices, and is sticking with Fingerprint Cards and Precise Biometrics for their biometric technology.
The latest offering is the Redmi Pro handset, a sequel to the recent Redmi 3X and Redmi 3S devices. Whereas those smartphones featured an FPC1035 fingerprint sensor, the Redmi Pro sports an FPC1245. And once again, the fingerprint sensor is running Precise BioMatch Mobile, Precise Biometrics’ flagship algorithm software for mobile devices.
Xiaomi is one of the smartphone OEMs singled out in FPC’s latest corporate update as a key client for the company, alongside Huawei, Oppo, and Vivo, helping to drive FPC’s considerable growth. Precise Biometrics has also benefited considerably from the patronage, with numerous FPC-driven integrations having contributed to that company’s revenues over the last several months.
The relationship has also clearly been a positive one for Xiaomi, given that it keeps returning to these sources for the biometric technology that is increasingly important to today’s smartphones.
