The next Mobile World Congress is fast approaching, and organizer GSMA has revealed some key details of the big event.
The industry alliance says that it expects MWC19 to feature over 2,400 participating companies, and that over 107,000 professionals will be in attendance. Participating companies include major brands spanning across a range of industries, including Alibaba Cloud, BMW, Deutsche Telekom, Facebook, Google, Intel, Microsoft, and Qualcomm, among others.
There are also going to be some big-name keynote speakers, including Huawei CEO Guo Ping, KT Corporation CEO Chang-Gyu Hwang, Citi President James Forese, and Orange Group CEO Stéphane Richard, among others.
Meanwhile, industry experts will lead ‘Topic Tours’ through the show floor, with the topics in question including 5G connectivity, the Internet of Things, digital commerce, artificial intelligence, and digital security.
As always, the annual event will provide an opportunity for participating companies to showcase cutting-edge technologies in the mobile and adjacent industries, many of which will be honored in the GLOMO Awards, in which Mobile ID World Managing Editor Peter Counter will once again be a judge.
