“…the certification attests to Acuant’s legitimacy and competence as a provider of trusted identity solutions, and ‘provides a further stamp of trust and transparency to its trusted partner network.'”
Acuant has attained ISO 27001 certification, the company has announced. The company says its certification was verified by PECB, a partner of the Certification Institute for Research Quality, which itself is recognized by the International Accreditation Service.
The ISO 27001 standard concerns best practices for information security management systems. In a statement announcing its certification, Acuant said that it “extends to every level of an organization’s IT infrastructure stack, including asset management, access control, human resource security, and application security.” Thus the certification attests to Acuant’s legitimacy and competence as a provider of trusted identity solutions, and “provides a further stamp of trust and transparency to its trusted partner network.”
Commenting further on the achievement, Acuant CEO Yossi Zekri asserted that the certification “is a prime example of our leadership in compliance and security in the identity proofing space.”
The news of Acuant’s ISO 27001 certification comes just a few weeks after its announcement that its AssureID document reading solution had been integrated into Intelity’s hospitality management platform, paving the way for its use in automated check-in kiosks for hotel guests.
