Arxan Technologies, an application security solutions provider, has announced that it has expanded its suite of security solutions for the Internet of Things ecosystem. The company will showcase its IoT app offerings at this year’s RSA Conference in San Francisco.
Arxan offers security solutions in a range of areas, including mobile apps using IoT connectivity, IoT firmware and embedded applications, and apps on IoT platforms. The company has already attracted such high-profile clients as Valencell, which sought to secure the Arxan’s help in securing the software on its wearable biometrics offerings. Now, the company is expanding its solutions to a number of Windows-based IoT platforms including Windows XP Professional, Windows Server 2003, and the Enterprise Edition of Windows 8.1, as well as Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.4 and 5.10.
It’s timely work. Analysts are predicting huge growth in the IoT marketplace over the coming years, but at the same time there are growing concerns about both consumer privacy and user security. With regulators struggling to grapple with these issues, the securitization efforts of a company like Arxan are very welcome – and could prove highly valuable.
