This week’s K(NO)W Identity Conference has helped to kick off a new program aimed at fostering the development of blockchain solutions.
The new Global Acceleration Program has been launched by FinTech4Good, and will operate in Chicago, Nairobi, London, Astana, Shanghai, Singapore, Tel Aviv, and Washington, D.C., home of the K(NO)W conference. In a statement announcing the program, FinTech4Good suggested that the effort has a social concern, saying that it is “pursuing partnerships with governments in Africa on identity solutions for the education sector.”
The organization also asserted that “digital identity is one of the key foundations of blockchain-based solutions”, adding that the K(NO)W event helped to energize the community of organizations involved. For K(NO)W organizer One World Identity’s part, CEO Travis Jarae said the acceleration program “is exactly the type of collaboration that we hoped to inspire with the K(NO)W Identity Conference, bringing together innovators from across industries to tackle the identity challenges of the 21st century.”
The Global Acceleration Program will start accepting applications this July, and will go into operation in September.
