“Enabled by Sensory’s TrulyHandsfree technology, the [voice command] feature lets users control the headset by voice command, allowing them to make calls or check the battery status without actually having to manipulate the headset itself.”
A new headset is taking advantage of Sensory‘s TrulyHandsfree voice command technology to improve the user experience.
Developed by VXi Corporation, it’s called the B450-XT and is the latest in the company’s BlueParrot line of Bluetooth headsets. It sports a number of advanced features, including a noise-cancelling microphone, NFC device pairing, and a 24-hour battery life.
But its the headset’s voice control that could get users talking. Enabled by Sensory’s TrulyHandsfree technology, the feature lets users control the headset by voice command, allowing them to make calls or check the battery status without actually having to manipulate the headset itself. It also takes advantage of Sensory’s power conserving technology to ensure that this functionality doesn’t excessively drain the headset’s power.
With smartglasses developer Vuzix having integrated TrulyHandsfree technology into a new device this past summer, the B450-XT is another indication that OEMs are interested in Sensory’s voice interaction solutions, and a reflection of the growing popularity of voice command as a user interface more broadly.
