Identity management solutions developer ImageWare Systems, Inc., has appointed a new Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Jeff Harris, who has 25 years of experience in the field, will oversee the company’s marketing strategies on a global scale.
In a press release, ImageWare CEO Jim Miller lauded Mr. Harris as an expert who “brings a unique blend of sales and marketing leadership, coupled with a technical and analytic mindset,” and notes that Mr. Harris will be well-equipped in his efforts at “increasing ImageWare’s brand awareness and accelerating our growth in the biometric security marketplace.”
The appointment appears to be part of an effort to take advantage of the company’s current position in the market, which can be summed up as really good. In addition to being invited to be a presenter at the Southwest IDEAS Investor Conference, ImageWare also recently secured a couple of major contracts to provide biometric security for the Fujitsu Retail Solution Marketplace and TransUnion’s ID Manager platform. It’s now in a great position to really start promoting its offerings, and it shouldn’t have trouble finding a wide variety of applications given its software-as-service model.
