A premature job posting has revealed that Apple Pay will soon be coming to the UK, Europe, Africa, India, and the Middle East, according to an article in The Guardian. The job posting, which has now been taken down from the Apple website, was for an intern based in London to help with the Apple Pay rollout.
It signals a fair degree of confidence on Apple’s part. While the mobile commerce platform’s introduction in the US suffered some bumps in the road, it ultimately seems likely to be a major presence, thanks in large part to its use of embedded fingerprint-scanning security to help ease the anxieties of consumers.
With Apple Pay also poised to debut in China next year, 2015 will be an important year for the service and mobile commerce in general.
