“The bank is taking advantage of two of FacePhi’s solutions: SelphID, its pioneering selfie-based authentication platform; and Look&Phi, a biometric solution that focuses specifically on the user’s eyes for authentication. “
FacePhi is consolidating its leading position in Argentina. The company has announced that it has a new partner in the country – Banco Supervielle, which FacePhi described in a statement as “the seventh largest private bank in Argentina in terms of loans.”
The bank is taking advantage of two of FacePhi’s solutions: SelphID, its pioneering selfie-based authentication platform; and Look&Phi, a biometric solution that focuses specifically on the user’s eyes for authentication. Both solutions are part of FacePhi’s comprehensive inPhinite platform launched last autumn, and they will be used by Banco Supervielle to authenticate users through its web-based and mobile channels.
Banco Supervielle is FacePhi’s eighth client in the country, with Spain-based FacePhi first having made inroads there just in 2017. Commenting on the development, FacePhi CEO Javier Mira said that deal “consolidates our growth in this market, and takes a further step in our internationalization strategy which has allowed us to have more than 6 million users of our technology.”
FacePhi says those 6 million users had performed over 500 million authentications at the end of 2018, and the company now lays claim to a client list of over 30 financial services organizations globally.
