The European Cyber Security Organization (ECSO) has given ARIADNEXT official “Cybersecurity Made in Europe” status. The designation is valid for a one-year period, and was granted by ACN acting as an ECSO-accredited institution.
The “Cybersecurity Made in Europe” label was created to promote the solutions and services of cybersecurity providers that are based in Europe. Companies that achieve the mark are expected to have a registered office located somewhere on the continent, and the majority (over 50 percent) of their capital must be in the hands of European stakeholders. As businesses, they should similarly be focused on the European market, with half of their staff working locally and half of their cybersecurity R&D activities taking place domestically.
The “Made in Europe” status also attests to the quality of a solution, and comes with certain technological requirements. On that front, approved solutions must be compliant with the ENISA cybersecurity standard in addition to Europe’s GDPR data protection regulations.
ARIADNEXT, of course, is based in France, and therefore fulfills the geographical requirements for the “Made in Europe” program. The ECSO itself is a partner of the European Commission.
“This label strengthens our position as an active and eager European operator which helps to build a strong and competitive European cyber-market,” said ARIADNEXT Co-Founder and CEO Marc Norlain. “The opening of ARIADNEXT branches in several European countries and the installation of our manual processing centre in Romania strengthen our positioning and action for Europe.”
The news comes several months after the FIDO Alliance certified ARIADNEXT’s IDCheck.io biometric authentication offering. The company has since updated its document capture capabilities in an effort to comply with France’s ANSSI reference framework. ARIADNEXT also added NFC capabilities to its mobile SDK earlier this year.
