Computer Vision API Can Categorize Objects and Faces

October 11, 2019

Biometrics News - Computer Vision API Can Categorize Objects and Faces

Visionati has released a new image recognition API designed for the enterprise. The API tags and categorizes a range of different objects (including human faces), allowing customers to rapidly scan photos and videos for the data points that will be most relevant to their business.

In addition to recognizing different objects, the API can translate text and handwriting and convert it into a more usable format, while the built-in facial recognition tech allows the platform to identify specific human emotions. The process makes it easy to search and curate content once the images have been analyzed and the desired tags have been applied.

While Visionati is not the only computer vision platform on the market, the company boasts that it is the first to accept payment in the form of cryptocurrency. Customers looking to make use of the app can buy in with Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, and Ethereum.

Image recognition technology is expected to become increasingly popular in the next few years. Allied Market Research and Progressive Markets have both predicted that the value of the market will reach approximately $80 billion by 2025, so the decision to accept cryptocurrency could end up being a wise forward-thinking move for Visionati.
