Samsung has released an update for its Galaxy Note 10 and 10+ that contains improvements for facial recognition for use with face unlock features, as well as gesture support and other changes.
The updates are listed as firmware versions N975FXXU2BTB5, N975FOXM2BTB3, and N975FXXU2BTB3, and are now rolling out to devices in Germany — the update was originally released in Malaysia last week — ahead of an anticipated wider rollout in the coming weeks.
The update is 260MB in size, and aside from bug fixes and some stability improvements, the changelog only lists the face unlock and full-screen gesture enhancements as the major updates for this release.
This comes shortly after Samsung rolled out the February 2020 security patch, and it should be noted that it does not include the March 2020 security patch, though it is expected to be released in the coming weeks, perhaps bundled with the above-listed changes for the majority of its global users.
