“Fraudster Hunter’s new ability to proactively stop fraud using proven fraud identifiers greatly improves fraud prevention team efficiency.” – Pablo de la Riva, CEO, Buguroo
Behavioral biometrics specialist Buguroo has launched a new tool to help in the fight against online fraud.
The solution, dubbed “Policy Manager”, is positioned as a complement to Buguroo’s Fraudster Hunter solution, and is aimed at helping enterprise security officers to build up sophisticated defenses against known fraud threats. Once a security administrator has identified certain patterns in suspicious and fraudulent activity, they can use Policy Manager to set up alerts that automatically get triggered when those patterns are detected, allowing for appropriate action to be taken.
In other words, Policy Manager lets security admins tell tell their security system, “If you see this behavior, flag it.” Responses can be set up to automatically kick into action, such as triggering a step-up authentication session for a given end user.
“Fraudster Hunter’s new ability to proactively stop fraud using proven fraud identifiers greatly improves fraud prevention team efficiency,” said Buguroo CEO Pablo de la Riva. “We’re excited to be able to offer a proactive approach to fraud prevention that is automatic, flexible, and scalable, and that will make a real difference in eliminating fraud and protecting financial institutions and ultimately the consumers they serve.”
The new tool is emblematic of Buguroo’s relentless targeting of online fraud. Concerned about escalating fraud attacks amid the rising use of remote services in the wake of COVID-19, the company announced a new COVID-19 Online Banking Fraud Resources Center in May.
The company has also received recognition for its anti-fraud platform this year, winning Frost & Sullivan’s European Technology Innovation Award in the summer. Buguroo’s appointment of a new EMEA Sales Director last month, meanwhile, is indicative of its ongoing growth trajectory.
