“In a matter of minutes, a user can capture a person’s face, fingerprints, irises, signature, and biographic information then encode and print that data to a contact or contactless smart card.” – Tom Hope, Director of Sales, CardLogix
CardLogix is releasing a comprehensive hardware and software kit that will make it easier for companies to issue their own biometric smart cards. The IDBX Instant Biometric Smart Card Issuance System is designed for access management, offering an out-of-the-box solution that lowers the cost and time needed to outfit an employee with a multimodal credential.
An IDBX bundle comes with everything a company needs to register new individuals and print smart cards, including a laptop with enrollment and verification software, a desktop card printer and encoder, a card reader, and preconfigured contact or contactless cards. It also offers customers their choice of capture device based on their preferred biometric modality.
“In a matter of minutes, a user can capture a person’s face, fingerprints, irises, signature, and biographic information then encode and print that data to a contact or contactless smart card,” said CardLogix Sales Director Tom Hope. “The card holder’s digital identity is also quickly verified before issuing their credential.”
The IDBX platform was built to be flexible, and is compatible with other vendors. Bundles can be customized to meet the needs of any company, while new features and units can be added at any point after the system has been installed.
According to CardLogix, IDBX is ideal for clients looking to add biometric security and credential validation to a specific facility or application. The system can be paired with the recently launched BIOSID tablet, which offers remote enrollment and authentication.
