Credence ID has expanded its mobile driver’s license (mDL) verification platform to include digital IDs from Ohio, New York, and Virginia. This expansion increases the platform’s coverage, offering a more comprehensive solution for verifying individuals with mDLs across multiple states and international territories.
In addition to this expansion, Credence ID has integrated the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) Digital Trust Service (DTS) into its platform. This integration enhances the platform’s interoperability, ensuring the authenticity of mDLs by managing trust certificates from all issuing jurisdictions. Organizations can now select jurisdictions that align with their specific verification needs, providing a scalable solution for verifying identities or ages of individuals from states with a combined population of nearly 100 million.
Yash Shah, CTO of Credence ID, expressed excitement over the broader adoption of mDLs by more U.S. states and the integration of AAMVA’s Digital Trust Service, underscoring the company’s commitment to delivering a secure and reliable mDL verification solution.
The platform is designed to address a wide range of verification needs, including age verification and identity authentication. It can operate as a standalone verifier or integrate with existing identity solutions and applications, providing flexibility for various organizational requirements.
Earlier this month, Credence ID also announced a partnership with IDScan.net to integrate its Tap2iD solution into the VeriScan platform for Windows. This partnership allows businesses to seamlessly accept and verify mDLs as easily as they do with physical IDs, further enhancing the utility and adoption of digital identification methods.
