November 7, 2018

“The UK is a key market for Danal and more importantly for our customers. Moving to full market coverage is always a key milestone for us in each country. It’s a big deal for Danal’s Mobile Identity solution. The platform is designed to leverage customer information obtained from partner MNOs for user verification, using it together with other identification factors such as biometric authentication based on fingerprint, voice, and facial recognition. Danal aims its platform primarily at the financial services sector, asserting that it can help to attain compliance with the European Union’s new PSD2 and GDPR regulations.

In a statement announcing the comprehensive MNO support, Danal CEO Jim Greenwell called the UK “a key market” for his company and its clients. “The expansion of UK coverage has already led to an increased demand for services, mirroring that of our market position in the US,” he added later.

Danal is based in San Jose, but manages its UK service from a regional office in the European Union.
