Entrust Datacard and nCipher Security will both be showing off their wares at the upcoming 2020 RSA Conference at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. nCipher is an Entrust Datacard subsidiary, and develops the hardware security modules (HSMs) that are used in Entrust Datacard’s enterprise digital security solutions.
To that end, the nCipher HSMs allow enterprises to secure sensitive data with tamper-resistant encryption compatible with multiple cloud environments, including Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, and Microsoft Azure. Entrust Datacard, meanwhile, is a member of the Cloud Security Alliance, and previously released the cloud-based IntelliTrust and ioTrust security solutions.
For Entrust Datacard, the announcement comes shortly after the release of two new security features. The first is a Single Sign-On utility that allows employees to use their smartphones as biometric smart cards to log into workstations and applications. The other is a customer-facing Identity Proofing app that leverages document and facial recognition to onboard new users. Entrust Datacard integrated facial recognition through a partnership with FacePhi in 2017.
Both solutions will be on display at the 2020 RSA Conference, which is scheduled to run from February 24 to 28. Attendees can view the rest of the Entrust Datacard and nCipher portfolio at booth S-2139.
