“Passwords are often not optimal in enterprise mobility deployments because they impede the end-user experience, are easily forgotten and can leave an enterprise vulnerable.” This is Chris Barnett, EVP of global sales and marketing for eyeprint solutions provider EyeVerify. The company announced today that it will be demonstrating its Eyeprint Verification technology in Atlanta this week during AirWatch Connect: a mobility expo that starts today and runs to September 12th.
“As businesses continue to add more sensitive corporate data and applications to mobile devices, the need to verify the authenticity of users is critical,” he continued. EyeVerify’s technology will be featured on the AirWatch Secure Content Locker, a container-style cloud service that allows business employees anytime and anywhere access to secure critical information.
The showcase is a good indicator that mobile biometric ID solutions, despite all of the speculative iPhone 5S hype and numerous reports of fingerprint sensor sporting smartphones, authorization and authentication methods that leverage existing mobile hardware (an integrated camera for istance) still have a strong place when it comes to BYOD.
