The GSMA has unveiled the first set of speakers that will be taking the stage at next month’s Mobile 360 – Eurasia 2019 conference. The second iteration of the event will focus primarily on the impending rollout of commercial 5G networks, and is scheduled to run from October 8th to 9th at the Lotte Hotel in Moscow.
Mobile 360 – Eurasia invites representatives from government, regulatory agencies, and mobile operators to discuss the latest tech issues and the unique impact they will have in the Eurasia region. The GSMA has previously predicted 2.7 billion people will have access to 5G by 2025, of which 48 million will be located in Russia.
“We have convened an incredibly strong line-up of keynote speakers who will discuss the pivotal role that 5G networks will play in the digital economy,” said GSMA Director General Mats Granryd, who will be a speaker at Mobile 360 – Eurasia. “Delegates will gain unique insight from industry experts as well as have the opportunity to discuss and debate how the industry can capitalize on the opportunities the 5G era will bring.”
5G also garnered much of the attention at MWC19, with the GSMA calling for governments and corporations to work together to coordinate the transition. The full list of speakers for Mobile 360 – Eurasia includes representatives from Ericsson, NTT DOCOMO, Qualcomm, and Huawei, the latter of which is reportedly considering a switch to Russia’s Aurora OS for mobile devices.
