Hampton Releases New TSA-Approved BenjiLock Designed for Travel

Hampton Releases New TSA-Approved BenjiLock Designed for Travel

Hampton Products has introduced a new BenjiLock designed specifically for travel. The original BenjiLock is a biometric padlock that opens with a fingerprint scan and eliminates the need to remember a combination or a key. The TSA Travel/Luggage Lock is meant to be more portable, making it an ideal solution for those looking to secure their luggage while they’re on the go.

The lock itself is made of chrome-plated steel with a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery. It can store as many as five authorized fingerprints, and can also be opened with a combination if more than five people need access to whatever the lock is guarding.

“We’ve designed the latest BenjiLock to be small and lightweight, with patented fingerprint technology that allows you to leave your keys at home,” said Hampton Products President Kim Kelley. “Beyond vacation and business travel, it’s also ideal for use on bags and lockers at the gym, and on work and school backpacks.”

The new BenjiLock is TSA approved, and can be opened by airport security if they deem it necessary, then locked up again, keeping a user’s goods secure through the air travel process. It arrives with an MSRP of $49.99, and will compete with existing biometric padlocks like BIO-key’s TouchLock line of products.
