“In a statement announcing Luttrell’s appointment as CEO, the company emphasized her importance in helping it to achieve a 99 percent customer retention rate, as well as substantial revenue growth.”
Identity and age verification specialist IDology has promoted one of its own to the role of chief executive. Christina Luttrell is now CEO, with former chief exec John Dancu to move into an advisory role.
Luttrell has been with the company for 13 years, having joined IDology as SVP of Product, Client Solutions and Marketing in 2007. Before that, she was the Director of Marketing and Product Manager at ChoicePoint, Inc., which she had joined in 1998.
Her appointment as CEO comes after Luttrell was promoted to the role of Chief Operating Officer in July of last year.
In a statement announcing Luttrell’s appointment as CEO, the company emphasized her importance in helping it to achieve a 99 percent customer retention rate, as well as substantial revenue growth.
IDology was acquired by identity management specialist GBG in a $300 million deal last year. Chris Clark, GBG’s CEO, was effusive in praising Luttrell in the announcement.
“She is extremely well prepared to lead the company to its next phase of product innovation and market-leading success,” he said. “Chris has made significant contributions to the success of IDology and will continue to spearhead advancements in the global identity verification market.”
For her part, Luttrell said she is honored “to follow in the footsteps of John Dancu, who has done a remarkable job of leading our company to tremendous growth,” adding that she looks forward to “leading IDology to new heights” as identity verification becomes more important than ever for businesses.
The news comes after IDology’s announcement that it had updated its ExpectID platform last month.
