IDScan.net is launching a new visitor management solution for physical establishments. Dubbed IDWare Falcon, the new solution leverages IDScan.net’s VeriScan Online software to streamline identification and management procedures for venue operators.
At its core, IDWare Falcon is essentially a document scanning solution. It comes with an eight-inch Android scanner outfitted with the company’s VeriScan application, which reads and verifies the authenticity of government IDs through the cloud. The Android scanner can be used as a handheld, or mounted on a table or floor stand at a point of entry.
Once IDWare Falcon is in place, visitors will be asked to present an identity document when they arrive at a venue. The solution will make sure that the document is legitimate, and extract personal information like the individual’s name and age. That information will then be time stamped and stored in the cloud to generate an auditable record of access events. The information can also be cross-referenced with third-party sources for identity verification.
Administrators can use an online dashboard to check visitor logs and get reports on visitor activity. The backend can also be used to create watchlists of VIPs or unwelcome individuals. The system can then send a notification to administrators whenever one of those people arrives at the building. That allows staff to provide more attentive service in the case of VIPs, or empowers security to take immediate action in the case of someone on the blacklist.
According to IDScan.net, the document scan is 100 percent accurate, and can be carried out in less than a second. Guests, meanwhile, can use the touchscreen to sign waivers, complete purchases, and enroll in customer loyalty programs.
“We continue to innovate to meet the needs of our customers, and self-service, compact and touchless visitor management is required across industries,” said IDScan.net CEO Denis Petrov. “IDWare Falcon offers a simple, secure solution for any organization, from restaurants to outdoor events to gated communities to schools.”
IDScan.net has previously provided identity verification services for CheckpointID, which helps with the monitoring and management of multi-unit residential buildings. VAXSYS has similarly used the company’s document recognition tech to help people store and share COVID-19 vaccination records.
