Innovatrics is trying to drum up more interest in its Digital Onboarding Toolkit (DOT). To that end, the company is calling attention to the Innovatrics DOT demo app, a free offering that shows users how the company’s onboarding technology works in practice.
The DOT demo app makes use of the same Onboarding Toolkit that Innovatrics offers to its paying customers. The Toolkit was built to help businesses verify the identities of their end users, and is delivered with an intuitive API that lets an organization integrate the Toolkit’s various utilities into an existing mobile or web application. Those that do so can also mix and match the API’s feature set to tailor the experience to meet their own particular needs.
However, the core functionality of the app will remain relatively the same for all users. The DOT demo (and the API) use document recognition to confirm the authenticity of a photo ID, and facial recognition to match that ID to a selfie of the person holding it. The platform uses Optical Character Recognition (OCR) tech to extract information from the document, and to help create a biometric template to perform the subsequent facial recognition match.
“Keeping the needs of our partners in mind, we have developed a new version of our demo app that allows them to observe how identity verification works in real-time and visualize how it can be integrated into their solutions,” said Innovatrics Product Management Head Daniel Ferak. “It’s now possible to individually demo and test each of its functionalities upon request that are designed to prevent fraud and create a trusted marketplace in the digital era.”
The DOT is compatible with ICAO IDs, and can extract data from a Machine Readable Zone or an RFID chip. It also checks to make sure that the document has not been tampered with, and uses liveness detection to make sure that the true document owner is the one taking the selfie. The Innovatrics DOT demo app is available for Android and iOS devices.
