Innovatrics hoping to extend the reach of its SmartFace facial recognition platform. The solution has been verified by (and added to) the Milestone Marketplace maintained by Milestone Systems, and has also been fully integrated into Milestone’s XProtect Video Management Software.
The integration will allow XProtect users to take advantage of Innovatrics’ leading facial recognition algorithm. SmartFace is able to track multiple video streams in real time, and will send a notification to the user whenever it recognizes an individual on a predetermined watch list. If someone does trigger an alert, any information related to the event will automatically be converted to a Milestone data format that is compatible with the broader XProtect platform.
The joint solution is primarily intended for venue security. Those interested in SmartFace and XProtect can configure the system with a desktop app that assists with camera mapping and connectivity.
“With the integration with XProtect, Innovatrics can reach a global audience demanding a robust and reliable face recognition platform,” said Innovatrics Product Manager Marián Beňo.
The Innovatrics algorithm has performed well in recent rounds of NIST testing, achieving a top-ten ranking on the FRVT 1:1 Leaderboard in October after previously securing the top spot in the ‘Wild Images’ category. The company itself is currently targeting the Latin American market, and licensed its facial recognition technology to Precise Biometrics.
