“…IntelliTrust is designed to enable end users to use their smartphones as virtual smart cards, with soft tokens and biometrics used for authentication.”
Entrust Datacard‘s IntelliTrust Authentication Service is now available as part of the Microsoft Azure Active Directory cloud platform. The integration arrives alongside the news that Entrust Datacard has joined the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association.
The integration delivers additional, plug-and-play authentication security options to users of Azure Active Directory Premium P1 edition. The winner of the Frost & Sullivan’s 2018 North American Adaptive Authentication Technology Leadership Award, IntelliTrust is designed to enable end users to use their smartphones as virtual smart cards, with soft tokens and biometrics used for authentication. It can also be customized to set different authentication requirements for different user profiles, offering systems administrators more control over their IT infrastructure’s authentication security.
Commenting on the integration in a statement, Microsoft Enterprise and Mobility Security Product Marketing Director Maura Hameroff explained that it “supplies Microsoft customers with more password-less options to secure their Azure Active Directory connected apps.”
Entrust Datacard VP of Authentication Ryan Zlockie, meanwhile, gestured to the significant expansion of IntelliTrust’s reach with the integration. “Microsoft Azure Active Directory is gaining incredible market momentum because it brings customers the conveniences of the cloud with the power of Microsoft tools,” he said.
