Workforce management solutions provider Deputy is leveraging biometric and Apple technology to provide clients in the healthcare sector with an innovative time and attendance tracking feature in the Deputy platform.
Through its involvement in the Apple Mobility Partner program, Deputy has implemented a facial recognition feature on its app that operates through iPads running iOS 9 or higher. The system is designed to identify the faces of healthcare workers when they clock in and out.
The feature has already won accolades from at least one Deputy client. In a statement, AFC Urgent Care Center Administrator Anilda Bardhyli attested, “Our staff easily clocks in and out with the biometric facial recognition; it’s fast and fun on the iPad.” Bardhyli added that the solution has left staff with more time for patient care.
The facial recognition system arrives along with other new features in Deputy’s upgraded platform, including new tracking systems for training and certification requirements, and for requirements pertaining to meals, rest, and overtime.
