“The addition of the Telaeris XPressEntry software enables us to add important new functions for our commercial and government customers. The iCAM M300 is now ideal for virtually any use requiring mobile identity authentication.” – Mohammed Murad, VP Global Business Development and Sales Iris ID
A new collaboration with mobile tracking solutions provider Telaeris has enhanced the functionality of Iris ID‘s award-winning iCAM M300 biometric handheld.
The latter is an Android-based mobile device supporting both iris and facial recognition, with additional support for a fingerprint-, smart card- and ePassport-scanning peripheral. And it has now been upgraded with the integration of Telaeris’s XPressEntry software, a real-time personnel tracking solution that opens up new applications for the iCAM M300 in gateless access control and employee time and attendance tracking.
“The addition of the Telaeris XPressEntry software enables us to add important new functions for our commercial and government customers,” explained Iris ID’s Global Business Development and Sales VP, Mohammed Murad, in a statement announcing the integration. “The iCAM M300 is now ideal for virtually any use requiring mobile identity authentication.”
It’s an important upgrade for the iCAM M300, which had already gained some renown for its biometric and identification capabilities, winning an award in the mobile category of last year’s SIA New Product Showcase. And with a growing number of organizations embracing biometric perimeter security and workforce management solutions, the enhancement may help the iCAM M300 to gain more traction in these market areas.
