OneSpan has been awarded the title of Best in Class in Javelin’s inaugural 2018 Mobile Biometrics Platform Awards.
The company found itself in the top ranking of all three categories of Javelin’s “Mobile Biometrics Platform Scorecard” – “Functional”, “Innovative”, and “Tailored”. Other companies designated “Leaders” in these categories include HYPR, Nuance Communications, Samsung SDS, and mobile biometrics pioneer Daon.
In a report announcing its winners, Javelin lauded OneSpan for delivering “a strong performance across all three categories” with “a platform that provides a robust array of biometric authentication capabilities.” Javelin added that “OneSpan also supports those authentication capabilities with risk assessment tools, supplemental authentication, and identity verification methods.”
Commenting on Javelin’s recognition in a statement, OneSpan CEO Scott Clements highlighted his company’s Mobile Security Suite solution, which is aimed at providing financial services institutions with a range of biometric authentication options. “This is backed by real-time risk scoring and adaptive authentication so that authentication requirements can exactly match the level of risk in a transaction,” he explained.
The recognition arrives after OneSpan rebranded from its previous name, VASCO Data Security, in late spring, when it also acquired e-signature specialist Dealflo.
