Jumio Adds Three New Sales Execs Amid Selfie Onboarding Boom

Jumio Adds Three New Sales Execs Amid Selfie Onboarding Boom

Jumio has infused a wealth of talent into its executive team, announcing three important new appointments.

Two of the appointments are regionally focused. For one, Mark Reeves joins the company as its new VP of EMEA Revenue. Reeves joins the company after leading EMEA revenue operations for Carbon Black, a cybersecurity firm that was acquired by VMWare in 2019. In his new role with Jumio, Reeves will be based in London, and focusing on building business in the EMEA region while overseeing the expansion of Jumio’s regional channel partner program.

Mike Ruiz, meanwhile, is Jumio’s new Director of Western U.S. Sales. Ruiz comes to the company from OnScale, where he served as VP of Sales since September of 2019. Before that, he was GridGain Systems’ VP of Global Sales from November of 2016 to September of 2019; and he served in senior sales role with Informatica for just over a decade.

Finally, Jumio has announced a particularly fitting hire in the wake of its acquisition of AML startup Beam Solutions last autumn, and its subsequent launch of the KYX platform. Micah Willbrand is the company’s new VP of Product for AML Services, coming to the company from Experian, where he served as Managing Director from May of 2018 to October of 2020. Before that, he headed AML activities for NICE Actimize for almost four years.

In announcing the appointments, Jumio framed them as a means of accelerating growth after “a landmark year” with respect to sales revenues, major customer acquisitions, and the acquisition of Beam.

“I’m thrilled to welcome Mark, Micah and Mike to the Jumio team,” said Jumio’s Chief Revenue Officer, Dean Hickman-Smith. “Together, they will help us continue to build upon our tremendously successful 2020, further expanding across EMEA and North America and layering in incremental platform-based AML services. This in conjunction with expanding our channel footprint will fuel our continued growth as we help organizations make their commercial ecosystems and the internet a safer place.”

Jumio’s VP of Global Marketing, Dean Nicolls, recently joined the ID Talk podcast for a special Year in Review episode, delving into fraud trends, the issue of demographic bias in biometrics, and more.
