“Jumio was selected as winner based, of course, on its success in offering its flagship Netverify authentication solution, which is designed to leverage facial recognition and document reading technology to confirm end users’ identities on an entirely digital basis.”
Jumio has won yet more industry acclaim: The company tied for the Silver award in the category of “Fastest-Growing Company of the Year – Medium and Large” in the Best in Biz Awards 2018 International competition.
It’s a particularly validating industry award, with Best in Biz Awards International claiming to be the only global business awards program that is judged only by industry analysts and members of the press. The program is in its sixth year, and featured writers from major publications including Tripwire and TechRadar.
Jumio was selected as winner based, of course, on its success in offering its flagship Netverify authentication solution, which is designed to leverage facial recognition and document reading technology to confirm end users’ identities on an entirely digital basis. Netverify has proven extremely popular for customer onboarding and authentication: In its Q1 results, Jumio reported a sales increase of 400 percent year-over-year; and the momentum continued in Q2, which saw a 269 percent sales increase.
Acknowledging the Best in Biz award in a statement, Jumio CEO Stephen Stuut said his team was “thrilled to be recognized”, adding later, “As the demand for our Netverify solution continues to increase, we will continue to invest in cutting-edge technology to best serve our clients and their customers worldwide.” That may have been a subtle reference to Jumio’s newly-announced AI lab in Montreal, marking a deeper R&D investment into Netverify’s underlying technology.
Jumio tied in its Best in Biz award win with New Zealand-based Pushpay, a mobile donations platform for churches.
